Terms & Conditions

NUMBERS
• Minimum number of guests for canapés = 50
• Minimum number of guests for finger food buffet = 10
• Minimum number of guests for fork buffet = 20

MENUS
• All our menus are prepared using the fresh ingredients. We may have to substitute choices if the quality of ingredients is insufficient.
You will be notified of these changes as soon as possible.

ALLERGIES
• Special dietary needs can be catered for if ordered in advance, however our dishes cannot be guaranteed to be free of nuts.

CHANGES
• Final numbers of guests are required 7 days prior to function date, reductions in numbers for invoice purposes are not accepted after this time
• Changes to your food order may be agreed up to 3 days prior to function depending on suppliers, orders etc.

BOOKING DEPOSIT
• A non refundable deposit of 50% of total is payable eight weeks before function or on receipt of order if less than eight weeks.

PAYMENT
• The balance of payment is due on or before the date of the function. Cheques accepted 14 days prior only.
• Building society cheque, Bankers draft or cash acceptable on the day.

CANCELLATIONS
• Cancellations must be made in writing and will not become valid until you receive confirmation from us.
Cancellations are chargeable as a percentage of the total order value as follows:
Up to 4 days prior to event: 100%
5 – 14 days: 75%
15 Days +: Loss of deposit
• Word of Mouth may cancel the booking:
i. If the client fails to pay the booking deposit within seven days of the date required to do so, under the terms of this agreement
ii. If we are prevented or hindered from carrying out our obligations by circumstances beyond our control including, without limitation; strikes(whether or not employees of Word of Mouth), suspension of supplies, governmental intervention, accidents, acts of God, national or local disaster

NON SERVICE FUNCTIONS
• The prices quoted do not include staff
No service functions require the client to collect from our premises; menu choices will be supplied on disposable trays. If preferred you can supply us with serving platters of your choice.

• Delivery charge: 5%Collection charge: 5%

KITCHEN FACILITIES
• If on inspection of kitchen facilities Word of Mouth will inform you of any additional kitchen equipment necessary to cater your event successfully and the cost of hiring the equipment. The kitchen needs to be available for our sole use until approximately 1-2 hours after the service of coffee.

• If the facilities for washing up are unsuitable, we will take everything away and wash up on our premises for an additional charge of 10%.
